Ninth Edition of Career Women of Barcelona Raises 50,000 Euros for Cancer

The ninth edition of Career Women of Barcelona, which was held on Sunday with 20,000 participants with dorsal, has raised 50,000 euros to be allocated to the Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC).

As explained by the organization, told Europa Press, the winner of the race was Txell Calduch, who completed the 6.7-kilometer route starting and finishing on Avenida Maria Cristina in a time of 23 minutes and 40 seconds.

This year’s edition has broken her record of involvement with the sale of 20,000 lats – the limit is marked by security – which sold out in a few days, and has exceeded 15,000 participants in 2012.

The AECC-Catalunya Barcelona Against Cancer has supported those affected at an information tent installed in the Fonts de Montjuic, where you were able to buy some glass roses forming part of the campaign ‘a l’AECC Suma’t, sum ‘t to pink’ breast cancer.

Annually the Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC)-Catalunya organized this race in order to ‘sensitize Catalan society’ to the higher incidence of malignancy among women.
